My Trip to the Carnegie Museum of Art

Make sure you wear good walking shoes for this one!

This is a museum that I will be making a second trip to for sure!

There was so much to see. Because my boyfriend and I went on a Thursday, the science exhibits were also open for us to explore! (It is also notable that admission is half off after 3PM on weekdays.)

We started out on the first floor and worked our way through the hall of sculpture. It was beautiful although I felt like the statues were going to jump-scare me at any given moment.

After that, we spent hours walking through the science exhibits. It was so fascinating to see so many types of minerals, as well as real dinosaur bones on display!

Then, we headed to the art exhibits. I finally got to see "Water Lillies" by Oscar Monet in person and I geeked out. (See top photo). I sat in front of it for a solid five minutes just appreciating it.

Because we wanted to make it to happy hour at the Yard (which was amazing), we had to wrap up our visit. My feet were killing me anyways since I wore my new ankle boots. Not a good decision on my part, but I looked cute.

I'll be heading back to the museum anyways because the contemporary art section is closed until mid-July (which is what I wanted to see the most)! I'll make sure to take tons of cool pictures when I go back.

In the meantime, check out the Yard's menu! They have fantastic food and a ton of happy hour deals. I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, and it was out of this world. I also can't get their beer cheese and pretzels out of my head. 10/10 recommend!
