Another lesson learned: Wear comfortable shoes for shopping!
This year for Valentine's day, Paulina (my Disney roommate/high school friend) was my GALentine! The day before, she made cookies with pink and red M&Ms, so I made her breakfast the next morning to start off the day.
As you can see, I made French toast roll-ups! I got the idea from Facebook. What you do is flatten a piece of bread and add your choice of fruit, jam, cream cheese, Nutella, peanut butter, or cinnamon on the slice. After that, you roll up the piece of bread, dip it in your cinnamon & egg mixture, and throw it in a buttered pan to cook! My favorite filling combination is strawberry jam and cream cheese.
After eating breakfast and getting ready for the day, we drove to Disney with plans to window shop and buy souvenirs for family and friends since it was the last day to receive our 40% off cast member discount. (We only get 20% off merchandise now.)
I wore a Valentine's themed outfit, which I completed with red Keds. And let me tell you, they are a 0/10 for walking. I had to go to the First Aid center at the front of the park and get bandaids and mole skin because they were blistering my feet already. Never again. But, besides my feet killing me, it was a beautiful day!
In other news, I have purchased a much more comfortable pair of cute walking shoes since then. They are made by BOBS from Skechers, which helps out children, dogs, and cats by teaming up with the Best Friends Animal Society.
At the end of the day, we caught the Ferryboat to get back to the parking lot. The lights on the water were so pretty and I just had to get a picture. (We love portrait mode!)
All in all, I would say it was a successful Valentine's day -- and I can't wait to buy discounted candy!
