Am I a credible source for skincare? Probably not, but here's a few tips anyways!
First of all, y’all should know that acne is natural. Love yourself and don't attack your skin just to look like someone else!
Second of all, I'm not very credible because I fall asleep with my makeup on pretty often. I don’t really deserve to have good skin to be honest. Also, what works for me might not work for everyone. After all, I'm not a dermatologist!
So with that said, here we go!

The first three items can be found at Walmart; the last two products were purchased at Dollar Tree because I'm out here on a budget.
Starting on the left, we have my good friend Tea Tree Oil. This stuff will make your face feel the way your chest feels when you put Vick’s Salve on it. It tightens your pores and dries out your skin, so a little bit goes a long way. For this reason, it can tone down the swelling of acne overnight. Because its super strong, you only need a little bit on a cotton ball or pad to wipe around your whole face.
I usually combine it with Witch Hazel to make a toner before I go to bed or put on makeup because it apparently shrinks your pores. However, I still get blackheads on my nose like crazy because my skin is oiliest there. I’d like to think my pores are smaller since I started these products, but it might be in my head.
Next, we have Benzoyl Peroxide. This face wash is really strong and will even bleach your clothes, towels, bath cloths, and any other fabrics it comes in contact with. It does well at drying out your face to get rid of acne. I usually combine it with the last two items that are Salicylic Acid based just to be extra. One is a scrub that I can exfoliate my skin with to get rid of dry skin and clogged pores. I put it on my loofa and go to town on my face, back, chest, and shoulders in the shower.
Makeup, Makeup Removers, and Moisturizers
While we're talking about skincare, I figured I would mention the foundation I use, as well as what I use to remove my makeup.
Dermacol makeup cover does a great job at covering blemishes. 10/10 recommend. It can be ordered online!! Next, we have baby wipes (Aldi's) and baby oil (Dollar Tree). I use these products to remove my eye makeup in the shower. It might seem silly, but they're cheap and gentle on skin!
Moving on, here's my favorite moisturizers.
First we have coconut oil!! It can be found at Aldi’s or Dollar General. I always use it after I shave. Plus, I use it to take off my makeup when I don't use baby oil. I put it in my hair as well, but putting in too much can make it very greasy. On top of that, it can clog pores, so I try to use it every now and then or just when my skin is especially dry rather than every day. Last but not least, coconut oil can be used as a teeth whitener!
Next, Queen Helene's Coco Butter smells soooo good. There’s a ton of it too, and I bought it at Dollar General at a great price! When I don't use coco butter, I use the lotions I have pictured from Bath and Body Works (which also smell so so so good), or other random, cost-effective lotions.
And there you have it, folks! This concludes my skincare routine! Thanks for reading!
